We changed this old family recipe into a sugar free one, and it tastes just as delicious! Requires baked pie shell, eggs, milk, and vanilla.
Mix 2 cups milk and contents of package in saucepan over low heat. Beat 2 egg yolks and stir into mixture. Cook on medium low until thickens. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue if desired. (Beat 2 egg whites stiffly and then slowly add 3-4 Tbsp sugar substitute) Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
